Tags: , , ,

Receiving and maintaining dental care is just as important as healthcare. Unfortunately when times are tough and money has to be re-budgeted, dental care is one of the first expenditures people let go. This choice, however, is an unnecessary one.  There is dental coverage available to not only individuals, but entire families at amazingly low cost. Careington dental is who makes it happen. Careington has enabled over 7 million satisfied members receive dental care at discounted prices from quality providers, making it clearly one of the best dental plan providers available.

With over 54,000 dental providers in the country to choose from, having access to quality but low cost dental coverage is possible. In 1979, two dentists realized that many people were forgoing dental care due to financial reasons. Together they formed Careington  and convinced a group of dentists to agree to charging  lower fees for their services. As a fully established dental care provider, the member network helps individuals get the dental care they deserve and allows companies the ability to provide dental care to everyone.

In terms of expertise, Careington knows what it is to understand and care for the needs of patients. Which is why as a patient, you can be rest assured that the extensive selection of dental providers have only the finest credentials, and offer dental plans that are not only comprehensive, but are current with the latest procedures. When you couple that with the fee reductions of two to three times larger than other dental plan companies; Careington seems to be the natural choice in dental plan providers.

Even more impressive is that when you become a member of Careington, when you choose the Careinton Dental – 500 series you will have access to discounted vision care as well, for no additional cost to you. The Careington Dental – 500 series was designed with the individual in mind, not the dental provider. Saving money is always important, skipping out on your dental care can be more than detrimental to your oral health, it can affect your overall health and should not be ignored or let go.

At Careington dental they really do care, and it shows. Providing savings of 20% to 60% for dental care is a huge saving and the opportunity to save should be taken advantage by all. Careingtons? dental plans are made with you in mind. I am Tegan Dawn, and I know firsthand how expensive dental care can get. I wish I would have known about Careington before now.

Discounted Dental Plans| What are Discounted Dental Plans

Tags: , ,

Discounted dental plans are simply plans offered by companies as a service to enable their customers to receive additional savings when using services detailed in the plan coverage.

Discounted dental plans can be described in a way that is comparable to the store membership cards. For example the grocery chain Kroger has a shopper’s reward card. If you use your “Kroger’s” card and buy the items that are on sale, you can get additional savings when you purchase those items. Discounted dental plans are basically the same. When you are enrolled into a discount dental plan, and you visit a dentist that accepts the plan, you will get additional discounts on the services you receive.

Need an example? No problem, let’s say you visit your regular dentist for a basic check up and cleaning. In my part of the country the average cost of a check up for an established patient is $70 and the average cost of a cleaning is $117. So with no coverage at all the cost will be $187, now if you have insurance, your cost will be based on how much of your deductible for dental care you have used for the year, which could range from 50% up to 100% if you have used all your yearly coverage. With discounted dental plans you will save anywhere from 58% up to 80% discounts on your dental care. In this case I will save 80% on the check up and 60% on the cleaning, making my total for today $61. Not bad since, my monthly cost for the plan is only $19.95, which includes my wife and two children. Dental insurance usually averages $60 per month for a single person and on up for a spouse and children.

So it is easy to see how these discounted dental plans can easily save hundreds to thousands of dollars each year. Now there is something else about these plans that are pretty cool. Let’s say you want dental insurance, but find that these discounted dental plans can benefit you too. You can use both when you go to the dentist. How about another example? When my daughter needed dental work, the dentist quoted me $1750, for everything. My insurance would cover $750, for the year. Which would have left me with $1050 to pay out of pocket. The cool thing is the dentist was accepting the discounted dental plans, so they took 75% off the $1750, leaving $437.50, then submitted it to insurance which covered the rest of the cost, and left me with $312.50, left that my insurance would cover for the rest of the year. That was pretty cool, and definitely worth the 20 bucks a month. So these discounted dental plans help in stretching your insurance coverage for the year too.

One last thing about these discounted dental plans, is that they cover every procedure a dentist is licensed to do. This even included cosmetic procedures like teeth whitening and adult braces. Most insurance companies I have seen will not even give you a discount on these procedures. So I hope this clears a few things up about discounted dental plans, and helps you understand how they can further help you by saving you a lot of money of the years.

Discount Dental Plans or Dental Insurance – Which is Better?

Tags: , , , ,

Looking for dental coverage? Want to know if a discount dental plan or dental insurance would be best for your needs? Here are the answers.

Dental Insurance Plans

Dental insurance pays your dentist when you have dental procedures done. It usually pays for preventative care like cleanings and checkups, but only pays 50 to 80 percent of the cost of other dental procedures.

Deductibles – the amount you pay before your insurance pays for a procedure – vary from $50 to $150 per year. Most companies also have a yearly ceiling (the maximum amount they will pay per year) which varies from $750 to $2,000.

Average premiums for one person start at $150 a year and go up to $600 or more per year.

After you purchase dental insurance there is usually a waiting period before you can have services performed. It can be three months before you can receive preventive care such as cleanings and exams, twelve months before you can have a filling or tooth extraction, and twenty-four months before you can get a root canal, crown, or dentures. Most plans do not cover cosmetic dental procedures.

Discount Dental Plans

A discount dental plan gives you access to dentists in your area who have agreed to perform dental procedures a discount. These discounts vary from 10% to 60% depending on the type of work done.

Fees to join a discount dental plan start at $79.99 a year for a single person and $129.99 a year for a family. Most of these plans cover all dental procedures, including cosmetic dentistry, and are available to individuals, families, businesses, and groups.

Discount dental plans have no deductibles, no yearly ceilings, no waiting periods, and no health restrictions. You can sign up for a dental plan today, and get dental work done tomorrow.

Discount Dental Plans

Due to the skyrocketing costs of dental procedures and dental insurance, a new, cost-saving service has arrived on the scene – the discount dental plan.

A discount dental plan is not insurance, but rather a dental service whereby participating dentists give you discounts of 10% to 60% on dental procedures. Discount dental plans can save you and your family hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on dental work, and premiums are much cheaper than dental insurance.

Discount dental plans cover all types of dentistry – exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, dentures, bridges, periodontal and cosmetic dentistry. And, unlike dental insurance, there are no 3 to 12 month waiting periods before you can see a dentist, no preexisting conditions, and no yearly insurance limits.

Discount Dental Plan Features

* Premiums are inexpensive, starting at $79.95 a year for one person and $129.95 for a family

* You get discounts of 10% to 60% on dental procedures and, unlike dental insurance, there are no limits to the amount of work you can have done

* There are no waiting periods like there are with dental insurance. With most plans you can see a participating dentist within a day or two after you sign up.

* There are no health restrictions or preexisting condition restrictions like there are with dental insurance.

Get the Best Plans and Best Prices

The easiest way to find the best plan with the best price is to go to a comparison dental plan website. There you can view the various plans that are available in your area, including discounts and yearly premiums, and choose the one that best suits your needs.

The better sites even have a toll-free telephone service so you can get answers to any questions you may have (see link below).

Skeptical?

Skeptical? So was I … until I signed up with a dental plan and saved more than $2,500 on a number of crowns I needed. My wife saved $700 on bridgework and we found a dentist who is painless, professional, caring, and who has even become a friend.

Healthy Eating Plans

Tags: , ,

There are many people including some body builders who do not know enough about body building nutrition and healthy eating plans. In many cases dieting has been wrongly associated with the some form of malnourishment executed as a way of eliminating some unwanted fat and body weight. Fact of the matter is that body building diets are about making sure that your body is well fed with all the nutritional components needed for the metabolic processes involved in the building of muscle and burning of fat. Zinc is one of the critically essential mineral elements which have to be strongly considered by every body builder. The most sources of the zinc mineral are meats, seafood, nuts, beans as well as food seeds. What you need to know about zinc is that this mineral component is involved in essential and critical body processes that include tissues repair, immunity, protein building as well as the growth and development especially during childhood stages and pregnancy. The zinc mineral is also a critical portion of most enzyme processes.

What you need you need to know about zinc is that the way this mineral component is stored makes it difficult to determine the aspect of zinc adequacy by blood or tissue measurement. This has often resulted in inaccurate zinc status for various individuals. The most important aspect of the zinc in the scope of a body building diet is that zinc is an essential component in the manufacture of the male hormone testosterone. What the foregoing implies is that inadequate zinc intake leads to low testosterone production which further leads to low growth rate and low rate of muscle building. Inevitably the low levels of testosterone lead to a low sexual drive.

As a body builder you need to know the merits and essence of the zinc mineral in your special diet. The recommended daily properties of zinc are not as huge as you would have imagined. 11 milligrams for men and 8 milligrams for women with little increase for women during pregnancy and lactation for women are ideal. These intakes can be really accomplished with normal healthy eating. You do not need to do anything out of the way to achieve these proportions. In most cases vegetarian and vegan diets demand that there be more emphasis on the zinc component. This is even true for body builders and athletes as vigorous exercises lead to loss of lots of zinc through sweat.

This means that you will have to consistently augment the loss with well balanced zinc supplements.

Dental Insurance Vs. Discount Dental Plans – Which is Best?

Tags: , , , ,

You’re looking to save money on your dental bills. But will dental insurance or a discount dental plan save you the most money? Here’s a comparison that will show you which one is best for you.

Dental Insurance Plans

With dental insurance you pay a monthly premium for which you receive dental work. The plan provider reimburses your dentist for part of the work, usually 50% to 80%, then you’re responsible for paying the rest.

Insurance plans usually have a set deductible and limits on the amount of services you can receive within a given year. There are also waiting periods of 3 to 12 months before you can receive dental treatment, and preexisting conditions are not covered.

Premiums for one person average out to $200 to $500 per year, and you can choose your own dentist.

Discount Dental Plans

With discount dental plans you pay a yearly premium for which you receive 10% to 60% discounts on all your dental work. There are no waiting periods before you can see a dentist or dental specialist, and preexisting conditions are covered. You can see a dentist within one to three days after joining a plan and get all the dental work you need.

Discount dental plans have no limits on the amount of work you can have done, and there are no deductibles. There are no form-filling and paperwork hassles like there are with dental insurance, and discount dental plans cover cosmetic dentistry which dental insurance doesn’t.

With these plans you can choose from over thirty nationwide networks, and more than 100,000 dentists and dental specialists. Premiums for one person start at $80 a year.

Bottom Line

Last year I needed two fillings, two root canals, and a number of crowns replaced. When I checked out dental insurance plans I found that none of the work I needed was covered. In addition, I would have to wait for six months before I could get any other work done, and the yearly premium was $420.

I then took a look a discount dental plans. What a difference!

All of the work I needed was covered, I was able to see a dentist the same week I signed up for the plan, and my initial exam was free. Not only did I save more than $2,500, but I found a dentist who was virtually painless, and who took the time to explain every procedure.

If you need work now or in the future and want to save a lot of money on your dental work, discount dental plans are the way to go.

Healthy Eating Plans Will Help You To Lose Weight Right

Tags: , , , , , ,

Most of us want to lose weight and/or get healthier than we are. Healthy eating plans are the key to that.

This doesn’t mean that eating healthily and making sure to take in balanced levels of nutrition are the only ways to lose those ten or one-hundred pounds. Starvation diets are popular, as are programs that completely eschew certain food groups at all times or certain hours or limit intake to only a few food types. These are only a few of your options, walk through the diet aisle in any bookstore and you’ll find a thousand more.

Because our bodies react to any drastic change in nutrition or calorie intake by processing more calories to make up for any lack, it is usually fairly easy to start losing weight quickly. Sustaining the weight loss can be at least as difficult as sticking to any radical dietary change, even harder is keeping a significant amount of weight off. Historically, a high percentage of people on diets regain at least the amount lost, if not significantly more.

This is not to imply weight loss through a change in diet is impossible. However, what is crucial to sustainability is changing our eating habits entirely. This means that rather than simply restriction or some other radical alteration, finding a healthy plan that can be stuck to, and which can affect an overall change in eating habits, is what will work best to take weight off, improve our health and keep it that way.

To that end, healthy eating plans are critical, not only to losing weight – which is not always the goal of a change in eating habits, thin people can be unhealthy too – but also to becoming an overall healthier person. All the nutrition in the world will only work if it’s combined with an active program for making it work.
